Wood's Baths - Glossop Swimming Pool

Wood's Baths were opened in 1889. They were one of the Jubilee Gifts to Glossop that were given in celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. The Baths were donated by Samuel and Anne Kershaw Wood. Samuel was one of the owners of Howardtown Mills in Glossop. The Baths were transferred to Glossop Borough Council in 1895. Many have enjoyed the Baths over the last 130 years and continue to do so today.

Wood's Baths were opened in 1889. They were one of the Jubilee Gifts to Glossop that were given in celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. The Baths were donated by Samuel and Anne Kershaw Wood. Samuel was one of the owners of Howardtown Mills in Glossop.

The Baths were transferred to Glossop Borough Council in 1895. Many have enjoyed the Baths over the last 130 years and continue to do so today.
