'I retired from boating at 63, working the locks was telling on my back and now I enjoy walking along the canals each day and lead a weekly canal walking group from my church. Now that I’m getting a bit older, I’m a member of Holy Trinity church and right outside is Armentieres Square, I now enjoy sitting on the benches there and Gongoozling which is a canal term for watching people on boats just go by. '
